Dale and I have had the good fortune of having a long and valued friendship with Anne Williamson of Golden Heart Farm, leading us to our new passion of loving, breeding and raising Toy & Miniature Australian Shepherds.
Golden Heart Sizzlin Hot Lacey chose us. We stopped by to see Anne and her puppies and had no intention of leaving with a puppy. I knew the moment Dale stooped down and picked up Lacey, we'd be taking her home. She has been a delightful addition to our lives.
Our greater fortune came when Anne was dispersing her Toy and Minature Australian Shepherds and we were able to purchase TMR Ramona the Brave (Mona). A few months later she was bred to Golden Heart Sheldon's Big Bang owned and loved by Tom and Jill Walker. The mating produced a litter of four quality puppies. 2 blue merle males, 1 blue merle female (all with gorgeous blue eyes) and 1 black tri male with beautiful, very dark eyes.
All the puppies sold and have wonderful new homes. Sheldon now resides in Texas.
Next came the acquisition of TMR's Pippin Hot of Golden Heart (Reba) and she has since been bred to International CH Southern Cross Buck Wheat who is owned and loved by Denise Sexton of Designer Miniature Australian Shepherds. This litter was born on 4-20-11. 2 red tri females, 2 red tri males, 1 black tri female and 1 black tri male. An excellent litter of puppies. See page 5 to see the puppies.
The Australian Shepherd has long been known for its intelligence and companionship. Through our careful breeding, we hope to be able to offer all the qualities of the standard Australian Shepherd, just in a smaller size, therefore allowing city or apartment folks a chance to enjoy these wonderful dogs as well as farm and ranch owners. They are vicarious, happy little dogs. Always eager to learn and to please. They are just a joy to be around.
For over 40 years we've bred, raised, trained, shown, raced, loved and been loved by our Arabian horses.
